What is the Ardmore Community Fund?
The Ardmore Community Fund is a non-profit initiative started by Ardmore Ceramics to support development in our region through creative arts. We believe in harnessing the transformative power of art to bring about positive change.
What does the Ardmore Community Fund do?
As of 2023, the fund primarily supports the Ardmore Arts Programme at Thembelihle School in Howick, which provides quality art education to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The aim is to foster critical and creative thinking and open doors to brighter futures.
How is the Ardmore Community Fund financed?
Beyond financing provided by our parent organisation Ardmore Ceramics, The Ardmore Community Fund relies heavily on donations from individuals and organisations who believe in our mission. These contributions are directly invested in our art education programs and community development initiatives.
How can I make a donation?
Donations can be made directly on our website via our secure donations page here.
Where does my donation go?
Your generous donation will be apportioned to developing our long term plans, or for the Art Project or even to sponsor a child to attend the Thembelihle School.
How does Ardmore ensure transparency and accountability with the fund's resources?
We take our responsibility towards our donors very seriously and are committed to transparency and accountability in all our operations. All financial contributions are strictly managed and used for the designated purpose of supporting our community initiative. We also offer a statements of our financials on request to ensure full transparency.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
The tax-deductibility of your donation depends on your location:
- South African Donors: Yes, your donation is tax-deductible. Upon making a donation through Paystack, you will receive a Section 18A Tax Certificate to validate your contribution for tax purposes.
- U.S. Donors: If you wish to avail yourself of a tax deduction, you'll need to donate via our U.S. partners, CUSP, through their PayPal link. Once the donation is processed, you will receive a tax certificate for your records. Please ensure that the payment reference states 'Ardmore Community Fund'.
- International Donors (Other Countries): While we can process your donation through Paystack, we are unable to provide a tax certificate for international donors outside of South Africa and the United States.
